The clutch is the first stage in the transmission of a car with a manual gearbox. The clutch is a complicated unit comprising of the clutch plate and the pressure plate which is bolted to the flywheel. These components need to work simultaneously together to create the pressure needed to engage and disengage the power from the wheels.
Every time the clutch is engaged, the clutch disc and other components are subjected to considerable heat, friction and wear – your clutch will not last forever.
